Switching to Natural Deodorant: What to Expect and How to Make It Work
By Ivory Clay

More people are switching to natural deodorant to simplify what they put on their skin every day. The switch is easy for some and takes a little patience for others. Here is what to expect.
Deodorant vs. antiperspirant
Conventional antiperspirants reduce sweat. Deodorants focus on odor. Natural deodorants work on odor with ingredients like baking soda, arrowroot, clay and zinc, and some help absorb moisture — but you should expect to sweat normally. Sweating is your body's way of cooling down.
What is in ours
Our All Natural Deodorant is unisex and made with organic grass-fed beef tallow, organic beeswax, arrowroot powder, non-nano zinc oxide, baking soda and bentonite clay, with cold-pressed coconut oil, vitamin E and a tropical blend of citrus and vanilla essential oils.
What the first couple of weeks can feel like
Many people notice an adjustment period when they change routines — you may feel you need to reapply more often at first. Give it a couple of weeks before you decide.
Tips that help
- Apply to clean, completely dry skin.
- Use a small amount — two or three swipes is enough. Warm the stick against your skin for a second so it glides.
- Reapply after workouts or on hot days.
- Sensitive to baking soda? Some people's underarms are. If you notice redness or irritation, stop using it and give your skin a break.
